Response to I have a 25+ year-old Hayward EC65, and the tube nest is pretty much shot and needs replacing. Seeing that a whole new EC65 filter costs only slightly more than the tube nest alone, can I just remove the tube nest from the new filter housing and install it in the old filter housing? This is mainly to avoid having to remove the old filter and replacing it with a new filter.
